Winning the Race Every Day

Listen to what Paul tells us in Romans 12:2:

Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity (Phillips).

Are you maturing in Christ? Is it your heart’s desire to become all God created you to be?

Maturing takes place over a period of time. You are saved. And you are now being saved—that’s the process of sanctification that takes place in your life as you grow in your walk with the Lord.

Our goal is true maturity in Christ. So keep your eyes on Him. Follow hard after Him. Spend time in His Word.

Take just a minute to read Romans 12:2 again.

Through the apostle Paul, God says that He has a plan, and part of that plan is that He will change us. One of my favorite verses is Philippians 1:6, the promise that God is going to carry on to completion the good work He’s begun in you and in me. He began it; He’s still working on me and you; and He will complete it. That’s what He wants to do in your life and in mine.

So keep your eyes on God. Keep your eyes on His plan. Let Him shape you into the person He wants you to be, and He’ll move you toward the goal of true maturity.

Pit Stop Promise

God is changing you, my friend, into what He wants you to be. Even on days when you think you have failed Him, He is working. He will not give up on you!
