Negative thoughts can be overcome, there is hope, and we can do it together.

There’s evidence that suggests the average number of veterans committing suicide in a day may be higher than twenty-two.  It’s heartbreaking to think that people suffer alone in their minds.  Even if they ask for help, it may go unnoticed, and then suicide becomes the best option out of pain.  This is a battle that can be won!  Your mind is a battlefield and you can create your own network to support you as you win this war with those dark thoughts.

It’s time to put on your armor and realize you’ve got the power to control your mind.  No, it won’t be easy.  Yes, it will take time.  But you can be successful, especially if you allow others to help you.  We weren’t meant to live outside of a community.  Human touch alone is healing–it can reduce stress and anxiety levels in your mind and body.  It’s time to connect with people and stop agreeing with negative thoughts.

Say it with me.

“I’ll get it right this time.”

“I’m going to be true to who I know I’m made to be.”

“I’m waiting to be surprised today.”
