One of my friends often reminds me that God gives us weekday pulpits so that we can proclaim Him. In the relationships God brings into our lives, He wants us to acclaim Him and represent Him well. People are watching what we do and listening to what we say.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light  . . . and find out what pleases the Lord.
(Ephesians 5:8-10)

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

God has called you to let the light He’s given you shine to His glory.

Look at Psalm 89:15: “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim {God]” (emphasis added). Acclaiming is a learned activity and takes time and practice to perfect. So think about how you can practice effectively proclaiming Him in all that you do. If you’re in the grocery line, at the office or on the golf course, how can you let the light of His presence in you shine for others to see?

In all your daily activities today, look for ways to acclaim the Lord. Just look for them. I pray that you will find opportunities everywhere you look and that you will be filled with great joy and will rejoice in His name.
