I Chose You…

Jesus says, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last” (John 15:16). God wants to use you to bear much fruit.

Are you saying, “But I’m just an usher” or “I’m just a Sunday School teacher” or “I’m just on the hospitality committee”? Remember that if your branch is connected to the Vine, the Vine uses your branch to bear much fruit (see John 15:1-17).

Charles Richard Kimble was “just a Sunday School teacher” who was burdened for one of the students in his class, so he went by the young man’s place of work to talk with him. Later that day, that young man went back into the stockroom and knelt down and gave his life to Christ. That young man was D. L. Moody, and God used him to proclaim Christ all over the world.

Most people don’t know who Charles Richard Kimble was, but God used him to reach someone who would become a giant in the faith.

God wants to use you, too. Do not say, “I’m just a . . .” No, you’re not “just a . . .” You are a child of God. You are called to be His representative, and He wants to use you for His honor and His glory and the advancement of His kingdom.

Whatever God has given you to do today, be faithful. That’s all He asks you to do. He will produce the fruit, if you are faithful.
