Dover Report

The Victory Weekend team enjoyed a fabulous time with the awesome people at the Lot 10 Campground in Dover, Delaware! It was a fantastic weekend with rowdy race fans “glamping” in style. These folks really know how to enjoy a race weekend!

The fans were treated by the music of Southern Edge and the Jess Zimmerman Band. During the concerts, the energetic crowd spent the evening dancing, singing, and cheering. This roaring cheer could be hear throughout the Lot 10 Campground as well as down the street at Dover International Speedway. The loudest eruption of applause occurred when the Victory Weekend team paused from the music to show gratitude to the bravest Americans among us. Proudly, we had the honor to celebrate 30 veterans, active military personnel, and first responders. During this display of gratitude, those who were awarded our ceremonial medals appeared to be proud and honored. This is the least that the Victory Weekend team could do to show these heroes our appreciation. Following the ceremony, everyone in attendance joined Jess Zimmerman in singing “The Star Spangled Banner.” It was a very meaningful and memorable time and we are grateful to be a part of it!

Thank you to the Lot 10 Campground for always making us feel “at home” and thank you to the amazing race fans who made our weekend at the “Monster Mile” a great time. If you want to experience the Dover race in style, Lot 10 is the way to go! We cannot wait to go back in 2019!
