Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3

Francis Schaeffer, a great man of God, wrote:

“One day all Christians will join in a doxology and sing God’s praises with perfection. But even today, individually and corporately, we are not only to sing the doxology, we are to be the doxology.”

Whether you know it or not, if you proclaim Christ and profess to know Him, people are watching how you walk and how you live. Is your life a doxology, a hymn of praise and worship to your God?

We’ve been called to represent Jesus in all that we do. Answering the call does not mean we live in bondage; instead, we find joy and freedom as we learn to be more like our Master and reflect His image in the way we talk, the way we think and the way we act.

Are you singing the doxology of God’s perfection? Are you being the doxology? Are you living out a doxology of praise to God as you live the new life He’s given you?

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to live out a life of praise to Him.
